  • Burly and Grum's Halloween Adventure on Oct. 21, 2012

I received this book as an audio version and listened to it with my girls. They absolutely loved it! What a great story the author has created from choosing costumes, meeting new friends and helping each other out. Put all this together with trick or treating and what kid wouldn't like it? The characters are loveable even if most aren't human! The narrator was awesome, clear, concise and entertaining. A must read for this or any other Halloween season! Job well done!

I received this book from the author for an honest review. This was such a great story from the very first pages. The characters we met in the first book continued to grow and come alive so much more in this book. With the continued battle of trying to balance motherhood with a love life, and a career not only as an editor but as the venatorcustos, Hannah becomes so real and truthfully I was tired from all she did - right along with her! We are taken deeper into the underworld as we are introduced into the fairy realm as well as get a fleeting glimpse or two of mermaids. Anyone who read the Guardian will find they have to read this one too and then you will still want more! Hannah continues with trying to protect her children at all cost from any of the Crudelitas from finding out they exist while facing mortality from a sick mother as well as herself. With the time ticking against her, Hannah must try to overcome her fears and put all else on hold while performing the duties of the Guardian. But the Fairies and a few mermaids are relentless for her attention as they constantly invade not only her home, her mindspeak but also her dreams. With good friends standing by to help, this story shows how one person sometimes can't do it all and that even a super woman can need help. Of course romances are building and in a twist in the end the Author gives all of us fans something to smile about while we wait to see what happens next! A must read for Paranormal romance fans who need a bit of adventure and some time spent downunder.
  • Guardian on Oct. 25, 2012

I received this book from the Author for an honest review. I love a good Paranormal story and the Author has weaved a wonderful one in the Guardian. Nephillium, Vampires, Werewolves, witches this book has them all and it is up to one human woman with special powers to control them all as the Venatorcustos the Guardian. What a great imagination the Author has that can take a story from the Witch trials of Massachusetts to the Hippie movement in America then finally down under during present day. We witness death, love, laughter, magic, rebirth, friendship, deception and above all good old fashion romance! Absolutely charming story! Hannah, is Guardian of all the Crudelitas as her mother and grandmother were before her. It is up to her to keep the balance and make sure none of the Crudelitas get out of control. As a young woman just coming into her powers, she is witness to her mother's demise at the hands of Peter, the father of her best friend Gabriel. She has feelings for Gabriel that she is just starting to understand when fate steps in and she finds her duty as the Venatorcustos takes precedent over her happiness as Gabriel is taken from her. But someone is behind her mother's death and she vows to track them down! Centuries later Hannah makes a wrong move and finds herself thrust back into the arms of someone she thought long dead, Gabriel. But all is not as it was, and Hannah decides it is for the best that she makes another sacrifice to start over. With a twist in plot, the Author now transforms Hannah into a new roll that has her the happiest since her own early childhood until her past catches up to her and she must face not only her past with her mother's killer, but those of the men who love her. I am looking forward to the next story in this series as well as other works by this Author. A must read for Paranormal enthusiasts who like a bit of romance too!
  • Echo Species Intervention #6609 on Dec. 18, 2012

I received this book from the Author for an honest review. Echo is a continuation into a Sci-Fi thriller that will have you in its grip until the end. I wasn't sure how I would like the passing in years between Book 1 and Book 2, but once I started the story it was even better then the first one! Based in a post apocalyptic Earth, Echo the offspring from Baby, awaits patiently for over a century for the "One" to come. With all new characters this could actually be a stand alone, but the Author has cleverly added in bits of the past that ends up complimenting this story to its fullest. We are given a deeper insight into what Echo is and where she comes from when she befriends a young boy traumatized by an abusive father, a teenage boy adopted into a family after his family is brutally murdered, and a dog named Barney. Just like in Baby, Echo comes into a broken family and heals them all showing them golden love from her and the womb. But this story couldn't be complete without a villain or two and the Author does not disappoint. You will meet one so disgustingly horrible that you dread whenever his name is mentioned. Whether you like Sci-Fi thrillers with a bit of serial drama or extraterrestrial adventures where the characters grow tails and can heal, Echo is a great book filled with a twist in the end that foreshadows what is to come in Book 3. I can't wait!
  • Armageddon Cometh, Species Intervention #6609 Book Three on Dec. 18, 2012

I received this book from the author for an honest review. I love to read books where the story just keeps getting better and better. This is definitely one of those stories! With each book we get a deeper understanding into what is going on and just what Baby's original mission was here on Earth all those years ago. In fleeting glimpses we witness the destruction of civilization as we know it through violence, greed and corruption and what desperate people are willing to do in order to survive. But survive what is the question and it seems only a few people are privy to this answer. With things just settling down in their new island home, Jose, Abby and Scotty realize it is time to bring the rest of the family home to Florida. As Jose leaves to find Mama Diaz in New Jersey, Abby is shown via a dream, a mission that she must carry out in order to save not only her family and friends but a few "dogs and cats" too! Well maybe a few more then a few... With the threat of destruction immanent, Echo's chosen family must choose who to confide in and engage them into the mission as well. But with young love on the horizon, a few ghosts from the past resurfacing, and the return of one very smelly and dirty villain, this story will have you enthralled until the very end. A definite must read for those who love extraterrestrial end of world stories with a bit of romance, adventure, and some lots of animal love! I can't wait to see what is in store for them all in Book 4~
  • Open House (Pool of Souls Series, Book 1) (Novella) on Jan. 21, 2013

I received this book from the author for an honest review. A fantastic hot and steamy romance with a bit of Godly influence! What happens when you play with Aphrodite? You fall in love.. what happens when you make her angry? She will destroy you! So don't mess with her souls! In this adventurous novella we hop from mortal world to Aphrodite's palace as we discover what the Goddess of love has in store for two soul mates kept apart. The two souls have no idea they are in the hands of two angry Gods battling each other to gain control of them. Great story line, well developed characters and steamy hot love scenes this book has it all and you will not be left wanting! I can't wait to read Book 2!
  • Gold Medal Threat on Feb. 07, 2013

I received this book from the author for an honest review. Wow was I surprised by this story. I am not a sports buff in the least and worried that I would find this book hard to get through. I was so wrong! This book was not only engaging but the characters were so alive and believable that you felt as though you were right along side them throughout the entire story. The story was so well written it was like watching a movie inside your head. I know this book is geared towards the male YA readers but I think that anyone who loves a good mystery will enjoy this book. It is fresh, has a unique story line and brings in enough suspense, mystery, and intrigue that you won't want to put the book down until it is done. A few twists will keep it action packed, humor keeps it light and of course there is a bit of boy meets girl without being overly romantic. So don't worry boys it isn't a sappy romance at all! A great read and one I highly recommend.
