While this is not my usual genre, I found the cover intriguing which is why I made the purchase. I must say that Ms. Hall creates a realistic world where a genetic mishap has created a cancer like disease where the effect is akin to immortality. Unfortunately, thanks to the Templar Knights and their alleged discovery of the Holy Grail, some religious zealots hunt these people to “punish them for their sins against God.” This book tells the story of one young man who discovers that he has this disease and must come to grips with how it will affect his relationships, his life, and the lives of those he loves. Ms. Hall is a talented writer and this book took me on an emotional roller coaster, keeping me on the edge of my seat every step of the way. I hesitate to say if you liked Twilight, you’ll love this book, because I don’t want to limit the audience. I think that this book will appeal to a wider group. I found this book to be well written, and exciting. I just hope there is a sequel! I can’t wait to find out what happens to the characters next!
