M. Hwa Chan is a retiree living in a senior community called The Villages in Florida. She has joined writers' groups there and has been writing autobiographical books for nine years. She came from Hong Kong 51 years ago for her last year of high school, then college. She has one daughter and two sons who are 14 years apart.
