Robert Ray

Biography

Robert has been involved in two career endeavors: Occupational Therapy and public safety and has also taught at the university level in both disciplines. As a therapist he worked in a physical disability arena with expertise in rehabilitation of traumatic upper extremity injuries and severe burns. Later, Robert made a career change to law enforcement and eventually evolved into a manager of safety programs for large organizations. He has attained two advanced degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia: Master of Counseling and Personnel Services and Master of Public Administration. An avid hiker and camper, Robert has roamed throughout the southwestern United States. He lives in Clovis, California but also owns a ranch in Colorado. While he had been previously published in a professional journal, it was Colorado where the real writing bug bit and subsequently two poems were published. The mountain environment seemed to be the impetus that he needed for laying the creative foundation of his novel, Revelation.
