Ms. Winters' characterization of Greta's "catness" is brilliant. Reading it, I could almost imagine one of my cats shifting into human form and perching on a kitchen stool. A delightful diversion.

When you think "ghost story", do you immediately think scary? I did, but K.F. Kirwin surprised me. While some of the stories in Haunted Bedtime Stories made goosebumps raise up on my arms, the ghosts in other stories were funny, thoughtful, tragic, and genuine. If you like ghosts with personality, you will love this book.
