Arif Rohman

Biography

Arif Rohman is a staff in the Directorate General for Social Rehabilitation, the Ministry of Social Affairs RI. He received his Bachelor of Social Work from the Bandung School of Social Welfare in 2000 and Master of Arts in Urban Studies from the University of Indonesia in 2004. Supported by Australian Development Scholarship (ADS), he received his Master of Arts in Women’s and Gender Studies from the University of New England in 2009. His research interests lie in the areas of child protection, disability affected by leprosy, gender-based violence, ageing, indigenous community, and urban poverty. He has worked nationally and internationally with IDPs Children in Aceh post-tsunami, survivors of human trafficking, people living with HIV/AIDS and homeless people. Currently, he is studying PhD in Social Work at Charles Sturt University, Australia.
