I am thirteen years old and in seventh grade. I started to really like writing in fourth grade, when my teacher had us do many projects. Also, whenever we had free time, we could do writing workshop. That was when I started Virginia Slaphappy. In an Elks Freedom essay contest, I placed second in my state division. Also, I won first place in a peace poetry contest and received honorable mention in an American Girl magazine writing contest appearing in the September/October 2009 issue.
