From wannabe-wrimo to nano-rebel, I did it my way this year, and it feels good! Wrote a short story for NaNoWriMo '12, SNOW IN KYOTO. Rewritten and revived, I question if it was a good idea to share my process, as the finished work went through many transformations to emerge. But that's part of the fun of reading a work in progress, right? The creative process naked and shamed and glorious all at once.
Also formatting a book of poems, A MOMENT BEFORE WAKING, which will be up soon.

A short story written for NaNoWriMo 2012, Snow In Kyoto is a glimpse of the poetic life of a woman living in the past and longing for the future, as she waits for her adventurous lover to return to her from his most recent conquest of the natural world.
