Kelly Gray

Biography

Kelly grew up with his mom, dad and two big brothers in Southern California. Kelly spent many years in San Diego and earned his coveted Journalism Degree from the prestigious San Diego State University. It has been rumored that Kelly was not there for the academia, but for the cool buds, hot babes and great waves.... Kelly worked as free lance writer and photographer at another very serious workplace, Surfer Magazine. He then went on to live in Maui ( see the rumor above) and then to his current home in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest with his wife, three dogs, cat and bird. Kelly sees life in a different way than most people and it shows in his writings. Don't expect any scientific facts or health tips from his book, "Log on, The Big Book of Bowel Movements", just a humorous way to look at taking a dump. Kelly started this project years ago with a pad of paper and a pen sitting on or near every toilet in his home, tenaciously scribbling notes as he squeezed out some of his best works. He is already penning a follow up "Log On, Part Deux", so stay tuned.

Smashwords Interview

When did the idea for this book begin?
I began talking about my dumps to my friend Mark Sorenson at Mission Viejo High School in 1975. We thought of creating the WBMA ( World Bowel Movement Association) back then. It was during baseball practice that we would go into detail about our daily dumps.
Why bowel Movements?
I had a Professor at Journalism School at San Diego State University once say that if you find a topic that everyone can relate to, write a clear and concise book, then it well sell. I think everyone can relate to the bowel movement and how it can literally change your outlook on any given day.

A tongue in cheek perspective of the fine art of the dirty deed; taking a dump. We all do it, why not share our adventures, brag about our accomplishments and cry in our failures. This is a hysterical look at taking a dump, complete with chapters on wiping, smell, food and forbidden stories, only to be shared amongst the closest of friends.
