Zombies! It's not the end of the world. In this final episode of Zombies! Series 1, the city of New York is besieged by thousands of zombies. For Anthony Heron, Denise Luco, Shawn Rudd, and Abby Benjamin, difficult choices must be made if they are to protect themselves and the ones they love. Zombies! It's not the end of the world. Shawn of the Dead is the first of a series of episodes that focuses on the more personal aspects of people as they face their regular lives against the backdrop of a zombie infection.

It's not the end of the world. After fighting long and hard, humanity has learned to share its world with the undead. But there is a deeper secret yet uncovered. Todd Mayfield is one of a handful of zombies that have rediscovered their identities. To survive he must battle not only the humans that would see him destroyed but the hunger that threatens to drag him back into the depths of ignorance.

And the government, aware of the danger, has declared an imminent quarantine for four of the five boroughs.

It has been 3 years since an effective treatment for the zombie plague was discovered. Despite the treatment, though, the plague endures. Those who fight the plague, both on the front lines and behind laboratory benches, still work feverishly to keep it at bay. Life, such as it is, goes on.

At one time, the politics surrounding zombies was easy. With the introduction of Olexynil, the world became a much more complicated place. Companies conduct experiments to capitalize on the industry of the infection while politicians work hard to eradicate all traces of it. On both sides of that coin, there is a deep warren of intrigue, and the players sometimes don't even know their roles.

While the Unit invades a horde of zombies in an apartment building run by a gang lord, Mikayla Deigh searches for her son's elusive killer. And her investigation leads her to one of the largest companies in the United States.

Lily never did have any luck in her life. From her overprotective mother to the terrible mistakes that she made over and over again, things went from bad to worse. Until she was bitten by a zombie. With the winds changing on public opinion, the officers of ZCF decide to move their most precious stock away from headquarters. When the relocation goes wrong and several super zombies get loose in the ZCF building, not only are the people who work there in danger, but so is the world.

Somewhere off the map, on an Earth that even Google doesn't know about, there is a remote island. Cleansed and rebuilt, the island has been populated by those people who rely on the medicine Olexynil to stave off the zombie infection. The great big secret here, though, is that the system is working. People are building lives there. It seems to good to be true. And it is...

Four months ago, John Arrick disappeared with forty of the most dangerous creations in the history of science. He and the zombies, cloned from his exceptional DNA, whose bite is so infectious that it can turn a victim in minutes, have spent all of that time underground. Now, though, Arrick realize, it's time for him...and them, to stop hiding, and to head into the light.
