This review might be considered biased, but it definitely isn't! This book is fantastic and makes a great read aloud as it is simple and yet beautifully written. It is full of adventure, everyday humour and family values. Where Lions Roar at Night will appeal to all ages and people from all places in life. It has often been likened to Little House on the Prairie, and this is a very well-founded comparison!
All in all, it is a wonderful book and absolutely worth reading. :)

Beautifully written, highly engaging family adventure. We picked it up intending to read a chapter in the evenings over the month but couldn't put it down. After a week we had devoured the book and the boys begged me to start it all over again. Every childs adventure and every parent's inspiration. A must read!

My kids just couldn't get enough! They loved all the wonderful animals, adventures and life on the farm that unfolded every day with the Boom Family. Looking forward to reading more from Rosie Boom.

My husband and I read this book to our children, and were never able to stop at just one chapter! The whole family loved the book, and now (a couple of years later), still talk about it! We also loved the sequel, and wait with eager anticipation for number three in the series!

I read Where Lions Roar at Night to my kids during our read-aloud time and we all loved it! It was so much fun to read about the adventures of the Boom family living in a barn! Yes, that's right! And all the stories are true too!

I highly recommend this book, as well as the others that Rosie has published. They are EXCELLENT!

Not only did the kids enjoy this one, so did Mum & Dad. We shared it as a family read aloud in the evenings. It was so popular I had to keep it hidden during the day otherwise it would've been demolished by my eager readers.
The story is full of good clean family adventure. A book you can trust with your kids.
Well done Rosie Boom.

Definitely destined to be Classic! Perfect family bed-time reading, with each chapter a self-contained adventure, heart-warming or laugh-out-loud funny - and all true things that happened in this big, boisterous and love-filled family as they lived their dream on their new land. The print version in New Zealand has already launched a thousand family fan-ships, as children - and their parents - yearn to learn more about the home-schooled Boom family and their life together in the big old barn, and all the animals and all the adventures they have together. Good old-fashioned homesteading, christian life and family at its BEST - I know because I'm Rosie's brother and it's all true. They are an inspiration to me and my wife, and I am proud to have been able to encourage Rosie to start her writing journey which has led to this wonderful series. This first book is just the beginning! The others are just as good. I told Rosie don't you dare stop at just the six! What if C.S.Lewis had only written six Narnia books! I know you will echo my cry after you have read the sixth and are hanging out to find out what happens next in the unfolding of the Boom family story...
Read this, enjoy, like it on facebook or on whatever media you use, and help spread the word. In this troubled age we need all the hope and down-home values that this series is so rich in. And the best part? This is not fiction!
P.S: it is well and simply written, in a lovely style that reflects Rosie's sunny nature, faith and optimism. Now stop reading reviews, and READ THIS BOOK!

It was such a delight for me to read this book. I so enjoyed reading about the family antics and had a smile on my face right through.
Some of my friends have read it aloud to their young children
with great excitement, and the older children have enjoyed reading it themselves.
I thoroughly recommend it to families around the world who want a good wholesome book to read together.
