Reviews of Brandon Marlowe and the Darkness of the Light by Eric Livingston

Iris Garcia reviewed on Feb. 13, 2013

Eric Livingston's series is just the right medicine for those suffering from fantasy withdrawal. This series kept my children's noses (aged 10 to 17) in the pages and provided a great introduction to Greek mythology. The books are fast-paced and suitable for adults and children over the age of ten.

Despite being incomplete, this was a fun series to read. The author combines good dialogue with an adventurous and original plot that keeps you reading.

On a side note, I was sad to see this book fall from the highest rated. I know it was one of the main reasons it came to my attention. It's clearly not for small-minded people who can only whine when a book challenges them.

I'll be telling everyone of my friends to read this series!

This book is a great mix of fantasy, adventure, and mystery. I enjoyed reading this book, and am really looking forward to the release of the next book. The setting of the book and the way the write described it, made it feel like I was really there. The story kept my attention through the whole book and it ended totally unlike how I expected it to end!
