Smashwords Interview

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Walsall, England. I began playing Chess and Soccer during my pre-teens and my interest has remained strong since those early days.
When did you first start writing?
I seriously began after I retired as this occasioned much more time to think and plan what I was to write. Before this, I wrote mostly short pieces about my interests in a variety of genres, with a view, ultimately, of publishing them in an anthology. However, they did not, I felt, constitute worthy of publication due to the eclectic subject matter.
