It is a fine piece of exactitude and clarity that a reader could comfortably convey in painting. Equally, each poem feels like a live expose. A very aware observer has written the tangible words and engaged humanely, to the degree, that each poem carries the strength of a complete story within its bounds. It is impossible to rush through to the end. The impressions that arise, whilst being interpretations themselves, nevertheless remind the reader of a gallery of portraiture, where the coming back to and exploring anew feels like the right thing to do. There is a certain masterliness to the poems that require greater consideration: a bit like beholding the brush strokes of a masterpiece.
It is very generous for the author to share such skill so freely.
