Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Guyana before moving to the United States. I met my husband and now live in Canada.
They were slim pickings when it came to romance novels or romance with diverse characters. That’s just the way it was back then. So I read what I had and enjoyed most of it.
I think because I had little choice other than to appreciate what I had, I write what I enjoy. My characters come in whatever form I dream up.
Who do you see as the intended audience of this series?
Readers who enjoy regency romance with flawed yet determined heroes and heroines.
That said, I do write for personal enjoyment.
