Dan Dillard

I write creepy. Sometimes he writes me back.

Smashwords Interview

What are your five favorite books, and why?
Good ones. Something that captures my imagination and holds it. It's really that simple.
What do you read for pleasure?
Lately, I've been reading books from movies that I loved as a kid. The last three I read were Jaws, Poltergeist and Psycho. I finally read Gone Girl as well. And I'm catching back up on my Stephen King. Haven't read him in a while. That dude writes a lot of damn books.

I'm a fan. First person writing is hard to do, but this puts the reader in the position of co-pilot, nervously going along with the narrator as he follows Carl through the old house looking for gloom and doom. An old fashioned ghost story with a twist as the specter doesn't jump where you think it's going to. I won't ruin it. Read it!
  • Cain's Apples on April 30, 2010

Just awesome. This is reminiscent of every campfire tale or ghost story I remember from when I was a kid. The kind of thing your older brother tells you to keep you up at night. Rod Serling would've been proud. You really should be selling this stuff! Dan Dillard.

Entertaining read and a nice take on what it is to be a Zombie...ya know, from the zombie's point of view. I guess you shouldn't judge until you've shambled a mile in his dry-rotted shoes.
