Jacky Lang

Smashwords Interview

When did you first start writing?
I've been writing all my life, but it was the gentle, firm and constant nagging of a close friend that pushed me to get something published and out there to the public. So, on a Vegas vacation during the summer 2012 I finally pulled it together and put my novella "Love & Money" out as an ebook. Like many risky decisions in life, once it was over I wondered what took me so long to make the jump.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Like many indie authors I wanted the joy of telling stories without the layers of red tape associated with traditional publishing routes. As an indie I have total control...but total responsibility. It's been a real learning experience and I think has kept me closer to readers than the old-fashioned way of releasing books and stories.
