Smashwords book reviews by J. A. Johnson

  • Queen Elizabeth's Wizard on Nov. 06, 2013

Totally cool! K. G. McAbee absolutely captures Elizabeth's world in tone, style, and delivery. And some wow, wizards and (an original twist on) zombies seem perfectly at home in it! I hope K. G. returns to this story's world and brings us more.
  • Ray Was Right on Nov. 24, 2013

When explorers from Earth finally do step foot on Mars and look around, this is what they want to find. And what is that? Read K. G. McAbee's great tale to find out.
  • Tales from Omega Station: Underworld on Nov. 24, 2013

A classic "cat and mouse" story only better, because it is set in space and K. G. McAbee delivers enough aliens and intrigue to fill a galaxy.
  • E. U. C. Bureau on Nov. 25, 2013

A chilling glimpse of a possible, even likely world of tomorrow that I hope we can avoid.
  • Tales from Omega Station: Betrayal on Dec. 13, 2013

Esric Kol is a galactic bounty hunter with a noble streak and his partner, "Hur'esha" is an original alienn that I want to see more of! I enjoyed "Betrayal" and you will too.
  • The Case of the Sinister Senator on Dec. 20, 2013

Name a time period, a setting, a genre, or all of the above and one thing is guaranteed.... K. G. McAbee always delivers story worth reading!
  • When the Last Light Fades: Three Stories on April 24, 2014

I just finished K.G. McAbee's "When the Last Light Fades". The first story, "Our Daily Bread" reminds us that not everything we desire is in our best interests. Then, "This Little Piggy..." All I can say is "ouch"! Be careful how you treat people. And lastly... "Bitter Waters". I did not see this superb tale coming. I t is a well written, envisioned, and fitting back story of a major character from the greatest horror novel of all time. I loved it! You will too!
