Wild Rose Cherry

When not writing, I can be found daydreaming in my sunroom or painting my partner's splendid toenails. I like to write poetry and fiction that either titillate, provoke, or both. Much of what I put to paper is based on my personal experience and private fantasies - it's hard to distinguish between the two, even for me. My partner has a sweet little cat called Quigley, and she spends her time on my lap while I write. I don't know what matters more - our dreams, reality, or the transformation of dreams into reality. Quigley seems to know as she purrs away, but she can't say. That is why us humans spend so much time searching and creating - we want that elusive moment when our animal nature is in harmony with our intellects, and we can, for an instant, see through the eyes of the human animal. There is magic in the air all about us, if only we look for it.

Smashwords Interview

Was writing My Husband's Favorite Slut a natural process for you?
Yes it was. If I were married to a man (and I have fantasies just like this,) I would badly want us to share stories about women. Almost any kind of woman would do, but the fantasies would have to depict me as a slut - something I'm not in real life, but like most of us, I have a promiscuous alter-ego that I keep hidden away.
What's the story behind your latest book of poetry?
Drumming for the Sentient Being came about as a result of a rather lengthy series of conversations I've had with two friends who are much more versed in philosophy than I am. As my eyes opened to the depth of flaws in our way of thinking, I began to write down my epiphanies. Looking back later, I could see how poems could be built around those insights, so I did my best to communicate what it was I could now see and feel.

Poetry for Women
By turns philosophical, homoerotic, whimsical, and feminist, this series delves into what it is to be a woman in the western world - in particular, what it is to be a lesbian. Whether we are yoked or liberated, belittled or admired, we women have always shown the capacity for bravery and insight. What would man be without woman? What would the world be without love? What could the world become, if women's (and men's) true potentials were unleashed? Read, and enjoy.
Roads that Lead to Love
There are so many obstacles in life which we must overcome before lasting contentment and love are found. There are illusions about ourselves, others and the world which must be addressed before we can know ourselves and human nature clearly enough to make strong bonds with others. There is also the question of courage. Courage is really just desire unleashed in the sufficiently aware person. Courage is more important than confidence, and its use can lead to a rapid rise in one's self-worth. Love is what it is all about. Perhaps the greatest contributions we can make to those around us and the world in general are when we allow our love to unfold, express it with courage, and accept the results of our efforts. Roads that Lead to Love will help the poetry reader see who they are not, who they really are, and then extrapolate their self-knowledge to an awareness of the reality of others. Read, and enjoy.

Take a tumble into a dreamscape of female urgency and empowerment in the seven short and dark poems. Bellatrix is rising in the world, for what can feminists do but battle against a way of living that is enabled by the fury of the (male) fist. We are brave, becoming stronger, mightier with the pen, and a world's future is at stake in the coming revolts. Feminism is the essential modern catalyst.

In the end, we are with a person who is worth all the suffering, and who shares with us an enchantment with this gift called love. Our trembling hands reach out to the right one, and their heroism inspires us to carry on all our lives. These eight poems express the conviction that love can be boundless and limitlessly forgiving; if we first believe, we can then find the courage to love. G reading.

With anger and hope we can set a new course for humanity in the coming generation. Will patriarchy be re-entrenched or will saner minds prevail? Looking at the backward nature of the opponents of gender equality, it's hard to believe we can lose. There is much to be gained for everyone, and these six poems trace out what still is wrong, and what may be done in the future to fix the problems.

A primer for couples who want to share fantasies. Trevor and I have an open and honest relationship, striving to hide nothing from each other. What's up with his porn collection, though, that he keeps hidden away? What could be an awkward letdown in our marriage becomes the catalyst for sex like we never imagined it, proving nothing is as intimate for lovers as shared fantasies. 18+, ~1850 words.

Democracies are collapsing back into dictatorships, just as women and minorities seem to be on the cusp of big breakthroughs. With the help of their usual allies - misanthropes and centralized power - the wealthy and connected at the crown of the King's head seem to be winning the struggle for power. Will they prevail over the forces of egalitarianism? History says they will, but.... 8 poems, G.

My greatest hope is to vanquish all the false hopes that have been instilled in me since childhood. My life is like a thought-experiment: If I have the freedom, in countless ways, to purchase my early death and all the attendant suffering, then someone else is profiting from my poor choices. What hope is there but to destroy false hope? Then, some measure of happiness can be found. 6 poems.

In these five poems, I freely trace out the times, places and faces I can recall of some past lovers. In writing this volume, I felt as though I was on the verge of a revolution with womankind against the menacing powers of the times. Long live Pussy Riot! Can we truly know anything beyond ourselves (if even true self-knowledge is attainable,) or are we destined to always go about in trances? Can our beliefs (dreams) of the outer world correspond with what's actually there? Seven poems of love, lust, hatred, truth, rage, being, and love again explore from a lesbian's perspective the nature of how we live. Some of the poems are erotic - adults only.

Seven short poems that explore inner and outer worlds, from the vantage point of a woman who loves women. Anger, guilt, and remorse mingle with gratitude, joy, and lust in a way that transforms what is often unspoken into plain and obvious truths. This small sampling of my work consists of both structured and loosely structured forms, with hexameter predominating. There is no explicit content.

Fast-paced and very erotic, this story left me wanting more from N.V. Cast. Domination by a she-hulk can be difficult to depict well, but this story hit all my buttons, and I especially enjoyed Arianna's acceptance of Ms. Batcher's caring discipline.
