Biography

My nickname is "Mickey." I was born in La Habana, Cuba in 1934. I came to the USA to study in 1942 and returned to Cuba in 1952. I studied at *Miami Country Day School and went to prep-school at *The Choate School in Wallingford, Connecticut. In La Habana, I became a "Doctor of Law" in 1957. In 1959, I happily returned to the USA. I entered the University of Miami (School of Law) in 1962 and graduated "Juris Doctor" with honors (CUM LAUDE) in 1964. I have practiced civil and criminal law in Miami and alsway had my own law firm. You can read the Sales Page at: www.drmickeysuarez.com. SPORTS: I rowed at Choate and in Cuba. I was named to the Cuban Hall of Fame (in Miami) after setting one record and winning eight gold medals. I am a New York (YANKEE) fan. My favorite ballplayer was Joe Dimaggio (Mickey Mantle is a close second and Yogi Berra #3). In football the NY Giants held my heart until the MIAMI DOLFINS arrived. Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
My first story was written in 1980 after I returned from China. It was titled: "China: A Country With A Smile." I remember that ever person, woman or man, was dressed in blue. So, I will remember China as the "Blue Wave."
What is your writing process?
I study the subject matter and make an outline before writing the first word. For example: LA MIGRA USA--LA VERDAD is backed by a 2045 page immigration book written by Ira Kurzban. DR. MICKEY ON ATKINS - The Mijas Diet is backed by Dr. Atkin's book and seven other diet books. It takes a longtime to finally begin the writing process.
