Mike Ward was born in Glasgow, Scotland and currently lives in Florida, United States with his wife and two children. He is the author of two novels, two non-fiction books and six series of novellas:

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?

I was born in Scotland and grew up in England. My writing was influenced by a prevailing sense in England when I grew up that justice should always be served on the bad people of the world and many of my characters go through adverse circumstances and do just that. I was also influenced by the belief that an ordinary man is capable of anything and can achieve anything.

When did you first start writing?

I went to a writing class with a friend in England. He was the one who wanted to be a writer and he asked me to go along. I missed a week and misunderstood the assignment which was supposed to be about yourself but I actually wrote a work of fiction. There was a young poet in the class who was incredibly talented. When I read my story out the poet said that when I started he thought it was going to be a piece of cliched crap (his exact words) but it had so many twists and turns it really pulled him in and he went on to say how good it was. At that moment with those words from him I had the confidence to start writing.

Parallel Realities by Mike Ward

The parallel realities series is a grouping of books and novellas about alternate worlds. In some cases a character may go back in time to deliberately change things such as in "Your Mission is to Go Back in Time and Kill Saint Paul on Malta" or perhaps a situation may arise where a man or a woman is pushed into an alternate reality which they didn't choose and definitely don't want. In other cases such as "Jumpers Between Worlds" then the characters in the book have the ability to move between worlds and in worlds such as this there can be terrifying entities such as Dream Catchers who can destroy you in your sleep. Step into these worlds with the characters and see if you like the realities that unfold. Some of the books will be free and I hope you will find all of them stimulating.

Lisa Molin is a freelance Swedish assassin working for the Russian mafia in Europe. When a male assassin can’t do the job the Russian mafia sends in Lisa.
