Biography

Nicci is an author, a literary graduate, and a straight up classy gal. She likes to write, read and refer to herself in third person. She writes science fiction, sweet romances, twisted alpha male sagas, and gritty erotica. Nicci has just finished writing her first novel, Facing Us, and has listed it for pre-sale on Kindle. That is, of course, after her editor spent a lot of time ripping out the bullshit and highlighting the sparkles.

Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Ever wrote? Hmmm. Yes. It was about a young girl who is visited by death. It is a love story with erotic elements. It was never finished. I may have to rectify that.
What is your writing process?
My characters are in my head until the story is finished. They just keep multiplying. I see them doing things, and hear them saying things. I let the characters take the story where it goes. I don't like to plan to much because the character arc changes and evolves as they move through the narrative and I can't be sure they will be the same people by the end. Basically, I can't predict how it will all pan out until I am living it with them.

  • The Girl With Crooked Fangs on April 30, 2020

    Just start it. Trust me you'll soon finish it. The dialogue is realistic. The characters have depth, and the book poses some interesting questions. This book is heavy in dialogue, but the character's voices are very revealing which is why you just can't put it down. Mwansa has a beautiful, simple and yet purposeful writing style. TGWCF definitely has a creep factor. I'm still thinking about The Girl With Crooked Fangs today.
