Smashwords Interview

When did you first start writing?
I've dabbled my whole life, but didn't feel as though I had much to say until I was almost thirty and had gone back to college.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Well, I remember the first one I attempted to write that wasn't a school assignment, when I was nine years old. It was a blatant Star Wars rip-off that I showed to my dad after two pages. He saw right through it and told me, in so many words, to be more original.
