Biography

Debbie Soni is a Congolese artist, author, singer songwriter and photographer. Years ago Debbie, as a teenager, fled with her parents and siblings their war-torn country of DR Congo to the US. There she earned a degree in Human Development and Family Science / USA and a graduate certificate in Human Rights from the University of York /UK. These two fields of studies and her Congolese origin drive her writings and music. Debbie loves teaching children and writing stories and plays that even adults can enjoy. Also as a talented artist she advocates for the underprivileged and the abused. She is a devoted follower of Christ. She enjoys eating mangoes, visiting new places, washing the dishes and laughing with her siblings. Debbie Soni speaks four languages which include French, English, Lingala and another language called Kikongo from the DR Congo. She loves to travel to different countries around the world and gleans ideas for some of her stories from different travel experiences. She enjoys great cuisine, traditional and modern, and enjoys being a hands-on part of the cooking process. Debbie has also published three other books (Available on Amazon) "A Mustard Seed Wish", "Dinerfrica", and "Kicking the Football" which can be found in paperbacks on Amazon.
