Hi I am Don. My wife Nancy live in West Virginia. I am also available for speaking engagements. I have put together a series called After Salvation - Following After God. You can preview this series at followingaftergod.com. This book will also be in print in the near future. God Bless. Don
What are you working on next?
The New Way a book about the Sermon on the Mount
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
I get up every morning to spend time with my Savior and God in prayer and Bible study
Adam the first human. Eden his first dwelling. What was it like. Take a journey in your mind and go back there and experience it with me. Let your own thoughts walk you through the garden. Feel the shame and sorrow that he must have felt because of his disobedience.
I woke that morning to a glorious spring day in the hills of West Virginia. With Bible in hand I began to read and study and the first to chapters of Genesis. Seek your Creator as we watch Creation unfold together.
Jehovah Shammah, the Lord is There. Ever wonder if that was true? Discouraged by crushing circumstances Naomi and Ruth travel back to the land of Judah. They have lost everything in Moab, the land of the descendants of Lot. Watch their lives as El-Olam, the Everlasting God guides them by His sovereign grace in this miraculous story.
Run away from God. Get swallowed by a whale. Preach the Gospel to those you hate. Sleep under a gourd. Go with Jonah down the path to darkness, sink with him into the depth of darkness, know the darkness of the heart and finally see light in the darkness. Travel with Jonah on his dark journey to Nineveh. Be warned for what you find hiding there in Jonah's darkness you may find hiding in you own.
Spend nine day's in a prison cell in Rome with Paul (The Apostle) and a young convert named Tychicus as they write the Epistle to the Ephesians. Paul's eyesight is very poor so Tychicus looks at his words in the dim light to make sure they are legible. As Tychicus reads Paul's words they come alive and jump off the page as God reveals himself to Tychicus.
Note: This is the same book as The Journey without the Bible verses. Take a walk through the Gospel of Mark. Stand on the bank and watch as John baptizes Jesus. Walk the cobble streets, dusty roads and climb the mountain paths as you get to know this man. Then go to Mount Calvary and stand at the foot of the cross as they crucify your Lord. Get to know your Savior a little more intimately.
We get saved and set out on a smooth road to know our Savior and our Creator. The road that was so smooth, suddenly turns rocky and muddy.I pray that the contents of this book will help smooth the road to an intimate walk with the Lord.
