Private investigator Leanne Jones operates the Victoria, BC-based firm, Secrets Investigations. Previously she wrote children's books, instructed creative writing at University of Victoria, taught elementary school, and served as a governess in Japan. She is a proud mother and grandmother. Leanne researched and wrote the story for the acclaimed iPad app, Cool to be Clever: Edson Hendricks & the invention of the design for the Internet. Leanne also composed and performed the app's musical score.
Mr. Braschuk lived with his wife in a small house on Sixth Avenue in Port Alberni, British Columbia. He invented a marvellous motor that ran perpetually on air. Everyone said it couldn’t be done, but there it was, running in his workshop where children from the neighbourhood gathered to watch with interest.
During a recent vacation to the beautiful country of Croatia, author Leanne Jones was inspired by the many famous inventors who came from the small country. A story idea began to form.
