What is your writing process?
I really don't have one. The stories come to me at any time. Mostly, at night when I'm trying to sleep. Anything can trigger them. I recently wrote a story for a contest when the picture you were to write about sent an entire story into my head. I had to stop everything and write it. Won third place in the contest. Some stories come to me in pieces. Others, in their entirety. I've had some rolling around in my head for 15 to 20 years. All of them begging to be written.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Old Yeller. At the end, I cried.
