What motivated you to become an indie author?
I've been writing most of my life. Ever since my first horrible comic book at age 8. I love to write, but lost some steam dealing with regular publishing options. I felt like I was spending all of my time waiting to do what I loved to do. Being an Indie author means I get to "work" as much as I want and release that work on my own schedule. The cons of self-marketing and paying for professional editing/cover design, etc far outweigh the pros of being able to do what I love
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes I do. It was about a professor who woke up and realised someone had removed his hand. He was very upset and the police got involved. There was an awkward sex scene (because I was 8 and I only knew what I watched on cable when my parents were asleep) and the case was never resolved satisfactorily. That's still a work in progress. I imagine it will be that way until I die, because it makes me laugh whenever I read it and I don't want to ruin it by making it good ;)
