  • Morally Ambiguous: Transgressions of the Father [2] on Aug. 19, 2021

I've been waiting for the follow up to Morally Ambiguous: Confessions of the Son for what seems like eighty-four years. And the wait was worth all of the pain. I had to know if Eren and Atwood would get to their HEA and Hywell did not disappoint! Not only did we get the steamiest scenes between Eren and Atwood, but our favorite set of twins made a surprise appearance to add extra spicy on top of an already mouthwatering story! I wish it was longer, but the balance of sweet, spicy, and drama was perfection. This was a perfect follow-up and a perfect ending for this duet! Everything Hywell writes, I gobble up like pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving and I can't wait to see what her perfectly dirty mind comes up with next!
  • Always Oskar: Sinful Delights #1 on Dec. 25, 2021
    (no rating)
I was so excited when this was announced and it did not disappoint! There aren’t a lot of grandfather/grandson taboo out there so I jumped on this immediately. Ian is the head of a crime family on the West Coast and he has been caring for his grandson, Oskar, for basically his entire life. The relationship between them was adorable and I stan a protective grandfather who gives his grandson everything he could ever want - except llamas. We got introduced to a bunch of characters who I’m hoping get their own books in the future (looking at you, Holden and Arlo!) And that epilogue?! Perfection! This was another hit from Hywell and I can’t wait for the next one!
  • Family Values: Sinful Delights #2 on March 25, 2022

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I've been eagerly awaiting Family Values since I read Always, Oskar. And while this book was much slower paced, in my opinion, it didn't lack anything. The overarching plotline of the series was still present and it actually seemed to be fleshed out a little more in this book. I'm hoping we get an opportunity for all of the Families to get together at some point. And if I don't get to see Theo and Oskar together I might cry. Abaddon had such a sad backstory, but I really appreciated how thought out it was. His history with Gabriel was so important and their relationship made me laugh. And I loved how both Theo and Jasper, despite being twins and looking exactly the same, were their own people. And the three men together? They fit like puzzle pieces being slotted together in just the right way. The relationship - together and apart - was beautiful. I always love in my MMM stories where everyone is an equal. Odessa Hywell gave me that and I'm so happy she did! This was a quick read that still had all the spice. It took longer than I thought for the smutty scenes to play out but when they did: whew. Hywell can write dirty SO GOOD. Make sure to have some cold water handy. You might need it.
  • Blood Bound: Sinful Delights #3 on June 21, 2022

Thank you to Odessa Hywell for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I have been WAITING for Holden's story for what feels like eighty four years. Ever since I got a little sneak peek at him in the first book, I've been waiting for his story. And Holden did not disappoint! Blood Bound wrapped up the overarching plot line that followed all three of the books, but whew, was it a ride to get to this point. I was almost convinced I knew who was behind it, but I was wrong. The plot though, is honestly secondary to the sex scenes and the absolutely chaotic tornado that is Holden Malnar. In proper Hywell fashion, the sex scenes are detailed and hot and always leave me wanting more. While I'm not a huge fan of blood or knife play, it didn't turn me off here. Also public sex? Sign me up! I would've been disappointed if Marcus had not shown up to see Holden in his twinky glory. And Holden... HOLDEN! I can't say enough about him. He is chaos and joy and murder in a little itty bitty body. And I love him so much. His chapters were hilarious and I found myself cracking up often. Are we making t-shirts that say Death Death Murder Murder Squad? Because I think we need some. Read this book! It was an absolute ride in the best of ways!
  • Son of a Sinner on May 16, 2023

This had me hooked from the first chapter. I'm totally invested in these characters and this story. But it's too SHORT AND NOW I HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE SECOND PART UGH. I need it now. Just an FYI if you didn't see my tag: This is a taboo story that is between a father and son. They are biologically related so if you're not into taboo, this probably isn't the one for you to pick up. But if you are, you can find it on Smashwords and I highly recommend purchasing it!
  • Sins of My Father on May 16, 2023

After finishing book one, I couldn't wait to jump into book two. Thankfully, I didn't have to wait long. Whatever wait I did have was well worth it because Sins of My Father was so good. Penn and Wilder are everything and I was so eager for them to have their HEA. Also, Raquel didn't pull any punches with the spice in part two of this duet. Holy SMOKES someone call the fire department because I have a fire for them to put out. Honestly, other authors are going to have to step up their spice game after this. This will definitely be a duet I come back to reread often.
  • For nEver Mine: Mate Mistake #1 on July 16, 2023

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This was a different change of pace for Hywell. We’ve been blessed with taboo and forbidden romances with a mafia-esque setting but when I heard she was writing a shifter romance with brothers 😮‍💨 I was in. Shiloh and Riley were so bonded, even before their actual mate bond. But once Shiloh bit his older brother? WOWZA. Odessa really knows how to write spice and this book was no exception. This was a quick read but was really enjoyable. I’d like to see if she does anything else in this world. 👀
