Smashwords Interview

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Grew p in Sydney Australia in the years of the White Australia Policy. I was adopted. Sold by the Catholic Church when young women were still considered sluts for having sex without being married. I mean, how wrong is that? Of course, freedom and justice, gender equality, have influenced everything
When did you first start writing?
I was 3. First story was called The Little Red Witch. My mother kept it until the dementia took her. My first win, though, was aged eleven. For Book Week. I wrote an essay on a book called A Child of China, on a kid during the years of the revolution. Got my photo in the papers for that one.
