Laurin Wittig

Biography

I was indoctrinated into my Scottish heritage at birth when my parents chose my oddly spelled first name from a plethora of Scottish family names. At ten, my grandparents took me to my first American Clan Gregor Society gathering, where I attended my first ceilidh (kay-lee), a Scottish party, and danced to the bagpipes with the hereditary chieftain of the clan. At eleven, my mother took me to Scotland for the first time and it has lived vividly in my imagination ever since.

I hope you'll join me in my forays into Scotland's wonderful medieval Highlands. In addition to The Devil of Kilmartin, my National Readers' Choice Award winning debut novel, please look for my Legacy of MacLeod series - Charming the Shrew and Daring the Highlander - out now. My newest trilogy starts in 2013 with the release of Highlander Betrayed on August 6th, followed by Highlander Avenged and Highlander Redeemed.

I'm a recent empty-nester and now share my home in southeastern Virginia with my husband (who refuses, under any circumstances, to ever wear a kilt), and our Eskie, Anna.
