  • The Royal Sheikh on Dec. 06, 2011

The Royal Sheikh is a wonderful romance. I enjoyed the exotic settings and fell in love with Katheryn Lane's characters. I could not put this book down until I had read every last page.
  • Down By Contact on Feb. 21, 2015

I was given a review copy of Down by Contact by the author for an honest review. What surprised me most about 'Down by Contact' was how much I loved the main character. I don't watch much football but I do see a lot of its players on the news. Unfortunately, most of the time they've been arrested for doing something really stupid. So imagine my surprise when I discovered what a sweet and likeable guy Dawson Drake turned out to be. While making the play that gets his team into the playoffs, Dawson gets a career ending injury in the process. That's when we get to meet the team's owner, Miriame. I have to be honest upon first meeting her I didn't like her. Dawson's in pain and needs immediate medical attention and she doesn't even seem to notice or care. Right away she starts talking about how she will probably have to fire him. This is a well written novella and I really enjoyed it. The story is sweet and sexy - a nice combination.
  • Complexities on March 16, 2015

Complexities is another great book from author, JT Therrien. Mr. Therrien couldn't have chosen a better title for this novel. Falling in love is a complex tangle of emotions. Emma is in London to study the van Eyck's famous Arnolfini portrait so she can finish writing her thesis. She certainly doesn't have time to date much less fall in love. Of course that's before a handsome Italian drops into her life and complicates it. Marco has just gotten out of a bad relationship and has no intention of getting entangled with another drama-filled woman. That is until he sees Emma. So now there's two people not wanting to fall in love -yep -it's complicated, because pretty soon Marco's ex shows up and Emma's position at the museum is threated. Did I mention that by now they're both in love with each other? Complexities is filled with tears, disagreements, misunderstandings, but most of all it's filled with love - lots of love.
