- The Man Who Spoke My Name

Azalea Moone's crisp dialog and narrative, combine to make The Man Who Spoke My Name a winner. She respects the classic writers axiom "Show the reader-- don't tell the reader." I loved this story, and plan to read more of her books. Aspiring writers would do well to study Azalea's work-- it's both instructive and a real pleasure. A word of caution, however. If you're looking for smut, this isn't it. If you're looking for a really good story with well developed characters, and an emotional plot, you have found it, in spades!

Azalea Moone has the ability to flesh out characters quickly. Her dialog is flawless. It compliments her crisp narrative, painting a scene with living, breathing characters. This was my second Joey and Dillon story. I read them in reverse order. If these free short stories are bait, I'm hooked! Bring on the rest-- I'll gladly pay to know more about Dillon, Joey and Melissa.

Excellent plot and character development, and rich dialog make Punish Me, Please a real page-turner. Ashley Zacharias' work is exceellent. That he would give it away is incredible!
- Rescue at Sea

Rescue at Sea is a touching study of adolescence. Two paragraphs into the sample, I thought I was listening to a fifteen year old kid. I instantly went from slightly annoyed, to being enthralled. Kyler Doss has it down, all the way. His dialog is flawless. If you're looking for a touching short story about the emotional uncertainty of teenagers, this is it. The main character is gay, but that's not the essence of the story. I give Rescue at Sea the highest rating, and will look for more from Kyler.
