Biography
I have been writing for the last 20 years. My stories have ranged from science fiction to comedy. I've also written many scripts; a movie concept, a sitcom, and countless sketch-comedy scripts. I blog on my comedy website, http://www.jerroldb.com and guest blog for other comedy and sci-fi websites.
After having children, my passion became telling funny stories and creating memorable characters my kids could relate to and enjoy. My son, to this day, still remembers many of the silly antics and tricks I used to get him to go to bed. Those 'tricks' included a train named Scoopy that picked him up and took him to Sleepytown; Joey Hand (my hand in puppet form) who was a cantankerous Italian guy that cracked my son up; and the Hoo Hoo birds (also my hand), who get highly upset and tickle you if you interrupted their dinner.
Writing has always been a love of mine, but when my son made me a father, my love grew greater! I started drawing up the characters with my son who gave me descriptions and a 'thumbs up' or 'thumbs down,' and writing notes on what would later be the adventures of Shauny B.
My children's story characters, along with a ton of quickly thought up, on-the-fly songs, have now passed onto my daughter who loves them as much as my son did. That's the best part of children's stories, they're timeless.
My vision is to make the Shauny B. Books collection loved by all kids alike. These are fun stories that all kids, all over the world, can enjoy.
