J Niessen

I give credit to the leadership of two great gentlemen. It’s through the teachings and inspiration of Billy D. Edson, that this vast project involving these short stories came forth.

In addition I wish to thank Pastor Matt Sparks for his generous encouragement and support.

The stories offered here at no cost were written while I attended a small-group creative writing class, as a student and instructor, held at Highpoint Church, of Tierrasanta, CA from winter 2009-present.

After spending countless hours working on the rough drafts, storyline, the design of these episodes, and their cover art, I can take in a relaxing deep breath of refreshing air, slowly exhale, and confidently state that these stories are presentable.

I give thanks once again to these two great mentors, for taking the time to go over these manuscripts, and for adding their helpful insight and suggestions. I greatly appreciate the hard work and the dedication you each have interjected in the midst of this endeavor. I will always value, and hope to exercise, the numerous lessons you have taught me.

  Very thorough description. The key graph included is a great feature. This offers a wonderful opportunity for someone who has considered knitting. Or consider giving this as a gift to an enthusiast as a future project.
  
• A Seasonal Moment on Dec. 23, 2013
  
  The story kept me fascinated. It didn't feel drawn out. There was a significant spelling mistake that was distracting ("Gods" should be lowercase as with "gods and goddesses"). With the mention of Religion tied into this tale, it's unfortunate that the true meaning of Christmas (Jesus' birth) is left out. The story presented the perfect opportunity for the Holiday season's true message to be revealed, or alluded to at its conclusion. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more from this talented author!

  The over usage of "had" slowed down progress, while some sentences were repetitive. The title caught my attention as there's a character in one of my stories coincidentally named Bell Tower. https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/383429

  It's really enjoyable to come across a collection of pictures that at first glance seem to mean nothing. Greater appreciation for these works can be found with a keen sense in detail and uniqueness.

  Each poem paints wonderful imagery, keeping my interests and urging me to read more. This is a great collection of varying emotions, settings, insight, and life experiences. You become one with the words and what they are intended to convey. The great deal of effort and dedication that went into this project shows. Very Enjoyable And Well Done! Thank You Kevin For Putting This Collection Together For Us To Experience!!!
