I'd give this six stars if possible. Some problems with wording and spelling, possibly because the author apparently doesn't use English in ordinary life. Most irritating was "loose" instead of "lose." Still a very good read

This was a fantastic read with nice twists along the way. Kept me guessing although I thought the bits about guessing the wpc's first name were unnecessary but otherwise brilliant writing.

The book is fast paced and has a good share of twists and turns. Finished it in one sitting. The ending is done quite well.

The British phrases and abbreviated words may need skipping but you will enjoy the read.

The story rolls along, but then....the incline appears and the story is like a snowball accelerating down a hill getting bigger and bigger till the conclusion. Great read.

The Value of Life surprised me. The story and variety of characters is awesome. Usually I can figure out the ending before I get there, but not on this one. Expected gruesome but got a great story.

This one really made me think about what I would do, who I'd ask for help, and who would actually stand by me. I read this in one session. Good pace and the character development gets better with each page. There are some issues with changing fonts and it probably could use another editing round. Looking forward to more books by this author.

Two thumbs up!

The description for this book looked so good that I just HAD to add it to my to-read list. After not even a quarter of the book, I was enthralled. I couldn't put it down! The plot is incredible, the characters individualized and developed, and the twists unpredictable. It kept me guessing until the end. Aside from the editing errors that could easily be touched up (hence the four stars instead of five), the book was great. I'm going to buy the next one now!

This was a good read with satisfying twist in the tail. To my surprise I found my sympathies shifting as it unfolded and couldn’t help but engage with the kidnapper. I look forward to reading more.

An excellent novel. The story is great, the pacing is good and the characters are believable. Suspense builds from page one and the ending took me totally by surprise. Editing is the weak spot in the story with missing and extra words and a few errors in putting incorrect names with events. If the author would clean up the editing it could easily be a 5.0.
