C. D. Gorri

Biography

I’m C.D. Gorri, Paranormal Fiction Author and Creator of the Grazi Kelly Universe. I’ve always been an avid reader, and I have a profound love for books and literature. When I’m not writing or taking care of my family I can usually be found with a book or tablet in my hand. I live in my home state of New Jersey with my husband, our children, and our dogs, Dash and Chewie.

I’m a busy mom of three and finding time for leisurely reading was never easy, so I write stories that are fast-paced, yet detailed with satisfying conclusions. If I thought making time to read was difficult, I was in for a huge surprise when I started writing, but now that I started, I can’t picture myself doing anything else! I love writing powerful women and strong heroes who face relatable problems in supernatural settings! I plan on increasing the GK Universe with each and every story I publish. You can follow me on social media to keep up to date on all my new releases and events!

  • Wanna Play? on Feb. 09, 2015

Emotions run high in this shot erotica romance between best friends Finn and Bree. Bianca Dean keeps you reading with sensual word play and steamy scenes between the two teens. A simple board game changes everything when these two get together, they emotions they are dealing with surrounding their race, friendships, and even prom make the characters believable and authentic. This is a fast paced sexually charged read for those of you erotica lovers out there. Definitely worth a try!
  • Dutchman's Curse on March 17, 2015

Dutchman's Curse is an intergalactic pirate science-fiction fantasy of epic proportions! The author creates an entire galaxy filled with descriptive details of ships and planets spanning the ages, as well as, interesting characters be they aliens, seers, holographs, killers, clan leaders, ship captains, ancient sentient beings and mutinous crewmen. The fact that there are several POVs made it a little difficult to follow at times and I had to backtrack, but overall the story drew me in and I found it almost impossible to put down. Unique and extremely imaginative, this story reminded me of some spacey Sci-fi shows of which I am a huge fan. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has an interest in this genre and it is absolutely appropriate for YA readers.
  • Fever Claim on March 17, 2015

What a first book! Really I can't believe this is Marie Johnston's first novel! The flow is well done and the pace is just perfect. The story of Jace and Cassie is full of intense longing, borderline erotica sex scenes, and tender passion that make this a truly memorable shifter romance novel. Cassie is a professional psychologist and very good at reading people, except she's unexpectedly dumped by her rather boring fiance and hooks up with hot bartender Jace without knowing that he is a wolf shifter who fully intends her to be his mate. There is some hint to the mystery of her past that may prove to be a bit more exciting and maybe supernatural than she is aware of. In this first book we are introduced to many characters, including the evil Sigma gang who appear to be led by a madwoman who may be a vampire and something darker. the Guardians are Sigma's natural enemies and are fellow shifters though Jace is not part of the team, being a former convict. The novel ends just where you want it to and though it is a complete story it fully leaves you wanting more. I recommend this to paranormal romance lovers, you will not be disappointed!
  • Primal Claim on March 18, 2015

I couldn't wait to get my hands on book two of this series and I was not disappointed! Dani and Mercury make for one hot couple in Primal Claim. With all of the intense passion of book one, throw in an unexpected experimental baby, a psychic connection, human understanding, and some serious action scenes, not to mention setting the background for what promises to be an awesome series of at least five books, and you get a hot paranormal romance novel! Reminiscent of the Black Dagger Brotherhood, the Guardians are tall, powerful, exceedingly sexy shifters who are tasked with defending and protecting their species against the Sigma and more importantly the evil Madame G who has dark plans of her own that go beyond Sigma's hate for shifters. Finding their mates helps the Guardians get more in tune with their special abilities, for Mercury that means getting some control over his telekinesis and mindspeaking capabilities when he and Dani are together. Dani is a former Sigma agent who is aware of how wrong things are going there and wants to make a break for it. being forcefully impregnated by the sick Madame G with the sperm of a Guardian sends her into serious mama-bear mode and she busts out of their fortress only to run into her future mate, Mercury, a strong, quiet shifter who spent the first years of his life as a wolf and has to work very hard to communicate the way humans do. Marie Johnston's storytelling capabilities are abundantly clear in this book. The pace and flow of her writing is superb and make this a quick, easy read filled with action, romance, danger, sex, and even a little humor. I really enjoyed this book and recommend this series to lovers of paranormal romance.
  • The Ghost Crow on March 24, 2015

This is a short story/novella featuring Dolores Swartz, or Dumdie as she is called by most of the people who know her, especially her family. Dumdie is not your average teen, she has a secret, special ability. She can see ghosts! Her ability terrifies her and she spends most of her time trying to avoid the misty people or ghosts. In this book she learns about death, friendship and acceptance. I think the author does a very good job bringing the reader into Dumdie's world. I was oftentimes concerned for her well-being and rooting for her to make it. It isn't easy being different and Dumdie's tale focuses a lot on her just wanting to be invisible to ghosts and people alike. Her family is pretty awful and when her only friend in the world, her neighbor, dies it is probably one of the saddest things in the book. She is terrorized by the Kyle-thing and the book ends after one particularly brutal confrontation between them. Dumdie is saved by the newly departed Mr. Carson from the thing that had possessed Kyle. She then makes friends with a group of girls who may in fact be witches. Overall this was a very good read and I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys paranormal stories. I am excited to see what happens next!
