Biography

A native of the rolling hills and moody weather conditions of East Texas. In the midst of a large and slightly dysfunctional family, I found my love of writing and reading at a young age. Inspired by Edgar Allen Poe, Emily Bronte and Bram Stoker; the dark, stormy nights, creepy castles, monsters lurking in the dark and scoundrels who were the real heroes to me; finding these to be more comforting than sunshine and rainbows. I set out to give my thoughts, dreams and ideas their own reality. Between writing hours, you can find me reading a book, dancing to whatever music moves me that day, or spending time with that slightly dysfunctional family she adores. Unless its stormy, then I am outside dancing in the rain, enjoying the night.

What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
I find that the world is mostly online. So getting out there on Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Google, LinkedIn, Goodreads, Youtube has been the best way of connecting with fans and readers.
Describe your desk
Messy lmao. Covered in pens, markers, highlighters, research books, maps. But that's all normal for an author. As well, I have a Porcelain Raven, I call Edgar, and a werewolf Figure, named Lucien. I keep a dream catcher in the window as well. There are little plaques with inspirational quotes and pictures of my family and friends.
