When did you first start writing?
My first memories of writing go back to when I was very young and sitting at my father's typewriter, clunking away at the keys, creating poetry. Later, when I was twelve, one of my poems was selected to be published in a book. I recall being so proud of myself! I wrote my first short story at the age of seventeen, which later won second place in a contest at my high school. It was not until 2012, however, when I was twenty-seven, that I sat down to write my first full-length novel, Discovering You!
What motivated you to become an indie author?
One thing: I have something to say, and I am not going to wait for someone else to tell me when and how to say it. Being an indie author has helped add volume to my voice, sending it across great distances and into the homes of people who would have otherwise never heard me.
