Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in the Midwest, in a fairly sizable city. I am definitely not a country girl, but I do like the occasional outdoor activity. I think I am lucky that I grew up in an area where I had a lot of exposure to different writing styles and forms, but mostly I have been extremely fortunate that I have had teachers and friends who have supported me in my writing endeavors.
When did you first start writing?
I first started writing in middle school (I believe it was 6th grade). At least that was when I first started to create my own stories and really write for fun. I did enjoy writing since my elementary days though.
