Smashwords Interview

When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Hiding... Being lazy has, and always will be, my ultimate ambition. I am a true master at doing bugger-all, so I spend my time hiding from work. Writing is now the only thing I do and that's because it involves sitting down for hours at a time with an excuse.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
The first story I wrote was Buddha's Tooth. I later changed the title to Siam Storm as most people thought it was about religion, several even thought it had dental connotations. Mind you, it was well received and people loved it...Even dentists.

  • Extreme Prejudice - Imogene's Message on June 14, 2015

A gripping supernatural thriller. Extreme Prejudice - Imogene’s Message, is excellently written. It is very descriptive with an original and powerful tale. The characters are faultlessly portrayed and the descriptions of the quaint English settings make it easy to imagine with a feeling of being there. However, it is difficult to pin this novel down to a few genres as it has everything. It is a good old-fashioned ghost story set in modern times with a twist. Based around the Pembroke family, it has conflicts between good and evil, supernatural powers, angels, demons, witches, the spirit world, detectives and crime, a mystery, and a thriller with a bit of philosophy thrown in. It sends a clear message to our modern day society: “Nature takes only what it needs. If it takes more, it dies off. Mankind has become greedy. Each individual should let go of self-interest and greed, and share with the under-privileged.” Any thought provoking book is a great book...right. Imogene’s message is action packed with many surprises and new and interesting characters added along the way. It is engaging throughout. Fortunately, the story leads on nicely for a sequel. I can highly recommend this novel. Christine Sherborne is certainly a creative author to watch out for and I will definitely read more from her.
  • Extreme Consequences - Imogene's Past Lives on June 18, 2015

Extreme Consequences - Imogene’s Past Lives: Another gripping page turner from Christine Sherborne, the modern day Agatha Christie of Paranormal Mystery Thrillers. Imogene’s Past Lives, is a great sequel to Imogene’s Message and although it did start off from where the first book left off, it is a psychological thriller that you can easily follow without reading the first... but why wouldn’t you read, Extreme Prejudice - Imogene’s Message it is a classic, as is this one. Imogene’s past lives is a fast pace action thriller with clashes within the spirit world, and good and evil forces on the mortal plane. It tells the story of the previous lives of young Imogene Pembroke, as she recalls them under hypnosis. There are the old characters, along with many new and exciting editions. The settings and scenes are perfectly described, especially the different time-periods. The story flows with imaginative and original storytelling with many unexpected twists. I was so engrossed in this novel that I could tell you the full story, but I could not do it justice, so you must read it for yourself and you can decide. It is a great book whatever your genre preference. I will watch out for the movie when they make it, but it will not be as good as the book. You will believe reincarnation is a reality
