I love having someone read what I wrote and knowing it affected them. Perhaps it caused them to rethink a pre-existing idea, or perhaps they just snorted at a bad pun I wrote. Either way, my words changed their day.
How do you approach cover design?
I generally choose a font that I feel fits the book a long time before I even think about cover art. Then by the time I go to design the cover, I have a pre-existing "vibe" of sorts from the font, and I can work from there.
The Labyrinth was created to punish. Those sent in were not expected to return. Criminals must be punished for their actions. They were no longer welcome in society.
Then a boy and his sisters were condemned, and everything changed.
