Jenny Ren

Biography

When I was young I was often told that I was a dreamer. As life got in the way, I developed multiple talents, including an inherent love of reading, fine art and musicals. These I learned from my cultured yet romantic mother. It was this background that gave me a love of history and romance.

Seven years ago, driven by need, I started penning thoughts and dreams into stories. While I have always loved reading, from fact to fiction, murder to mystery, historical to suspense, sweet to erotic; in fact all genres; my lifelong love of anything romantic has enticed me to write light-hearted, happy ever after romances. My one regret is not finding the time (or courage) to do it earlier.

Nowadays, I live in Australia with my long time lover/husband/friend and two large dogs. I have three grown up children that I have passed my love of reading onto and whether they will thank me for that, who knows. I am still a dreamer.

Smashwords Interview

Who are your favorite authors?
At the moment my favorites would have to be Stephenie Meyer with the Twilight series, E L James with the ...err...tastes of Christian Grey, Amanda Hocking with her mermaid series and Mindy Haig's Glory. These are my repeat reads at the moment.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The hope that I will learn something new, mainly. I love life and get enjoyment out of as much as I can; my four year old grandson whom I have wonderful adventures with every day; my husband who I love as much now as I did thirty years ago and the hope that I'll be able to squeeze a portion of writing out of a hectic day.

  • Glory on Aug. 06, 2013

I found this a very good story with a surprising ending that I certainly wasn't expecting. A common, time worn subject you might think, told time over time but this has been presented in a totally unexpected but believable way. A very good read!
  • How to Get a Cheap Book Cover on Aug. 06, 2013

Although I have designed two e-book covers of my own, my third one was just not working. My thanks to Joleene Naylor for hints and tips to set me back on the right path, enabling me to try things in my program, Photoshop, that I previously couldn't comprehend.
  • Embracing Scandal (Scandalous Siblings Series Book 1) on Jan. 27, 2014
