Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I was born in England but moved at an early age to Scotland. That shift to the cold and wet helped develop my sense of humour, a necessary survival tool in Glasgow in the 1960s.
When did you first start writing?
Aged about nine. At school I was fortunate enough to be encouraged by my teacher.
A road trip of 6000 kms, round 6 European countries which we hope will inspire others, who face an uncertain future, to see a horizon. A future. We hope they will copy us and take a drive for life.
