Merrill Gemus

Biography

Merrill Gemus is a Canadian author who writes short stories and novellas in her spare time.

She started blogging in January 2009 and found an interest in creating stories. She published her first novella, Bitten, in May 2011, and later published its sequel, Stolen, in August 2011.

She took a small break from writing between 2012 and 2017. During this time, she married her best friend in 2012, had her first child, a daughter, in 2015 and another little girl in 2017.

In 2016, she finalized the outline and completed the Bitten Vampires Series, Unbroken, in February 2018.

What is your e-reading device of choice?
Oh, that's a tough one! I don't think I have a preference but I did purchase two Kobo e-readers, first generation and the Kobo Glo, but I've started re-reading physical books. I like taking advantage of book sales and participating in book exchanges at work. I did have a small fascination with the Kindle at some point and I've read books on my mobile phone and tablets.
When did you first start writing?
Pretty much around 8 years old, I started writing in my diary. I began writing short stories in 2005 and basically wrote my first novella, Bitten, in 2011.
