Pharos Publishing was formed in 2013 by Richard L. Foland Jr. to independently publish not only his books but also those of friends and family. In future it is hoped that it will expand to help other independent authors realize their publishing dreams. Pharos also offers proof reading, formatting and even unbiased reviews to other independent authors, usually on a barter basis.

We all know that Life is a maze of twisty little passages, all alike. The thirteen poems in this collection explore those passages. Asking questions about the future, making statements about the present and looking around the corner to the past. Lurking in these passages are such terrible monsters as homicidal felines, blank pages and a premature Christmas.

Great idea. Could easily have been longer and gone into greater depth of the relationship between the Doctor and his mirror self.

Fun read but it could benefit from more back story. The ending feels tacked on.

Mary Sue fan fiction. What a waste of a good idea.
The Easiest Way To Survive The Undead

Having been born and raised in South Western Pennsylvania and having missed a chance to be a zombie in Romero's original "Dawn of the Dead" it takes a strong idea or strong execution for me to invest in a zombie story. This has both. It feels like you're reading a hurriedly penned notebook, complete with strikethroughs. I did see the ending coming, but that in no way diminished the story.
Wizard of Ends

The book is well written and starts off feeling like a political thriller set in a magical realm. The intrigue is abandoned early on, however, and the story morphs into a chase sequence and then finally into a full out magical battle royal with magic users slaughtered in some very imaginative and disturbing ways. It is an extremely enjoyable read until the cliff hanger ending; which means that you’d better be prepared to pick up Book Two of the series, “Dark Creature” to find out how the story ends. In fact, the two books read like a single book that has been cut in half. This sort of publishing practice harkens back to the “Lord of the Rings” and tends to work well if the first book has a strong enough hook, which “Wizard of Ends” fortunately does.
If you like your Fantasy sprinkled with political intrigue and all out magical mayhem pick up “Wizard of Ends” for free. Just keep in mind that you’ll probably want to buy “Dark Creature” as well.
