Smashwords book reviews by Dee A Mony

  • Espresso Macchiato on May 22, 2012

Wow! I really enjoyed this short read. Could you extend it to. Wish I could get my hands on my own Espresso Macchiato. I would say YES on the first go.
  • Waiting Forever on May 23, 2012

Loved this read. Short, sweet, and nostalgia inducing.
  • Manhattan Magic on May 23, 2012

Okay read. A little bit too atypical but overall well written.
  • A Dove Descending on June 13, 2012

Wonderful book! I am a character kind of reader myself and this was exactly my cup of tea. Fresh and engaging... opossums and all!
  • Falling Star on June 20, 2012

I love Naomi; she knows how to make a comeback in the face of adversity.
  • A Holland Kiss on June 20, 2012

What a sweet love story. Absolutely enjoyable read.
  • Ride the Rainbow Home on June 24, 2012

I would definitely recommend this tender, sentimental and well written romance. I like a book with with enough substance for me to bite into. Learnt a thing or two about the Navajo Indians.
  • From a Guys View on June 26, 2012

I have never really understood men, and my ex could NEVER be a gentleman (no opening doors, no holding out chairs, slurping his food) and it irritated me to no end. However, this little ditty makes me see it from a guy's point of view and I guess it is hard on everyone all around. But I don't get why the main character is so hung up over the break-up; after all HE breaks up with HER? So why mop? Other than the glaring typos, it is quite a good read. But that doesn't mean I have forgiven my ex for slurping.
  • The Universe Doesn't Give a Flying Fuck About You on June 26, 2012

I can't make up my mind whether to be depressed or uplifted by this short piece. I do KNOW I have to get off my ass and DO SOMETHING. And then again, what does it matter if I do or I don't?
  • I Married a Pirate on Aug. 20, 2012

I laughed, I sympathized, empathized, cheered, disagreed with the heroine at times, and held my breath at the end cajoling the her: 'Say yes! Say yes to the Pirate!'Truly unputdownable.
  • Deadly Offerings on Aug. 29, 2012

Michael Brandt is a man made just how I like them, with a protective streak broader than the Grand Canyon. What do you say about a man who drives THIRTEEN hours just to make sure you are safe? Irresistible, that's what.
  • Her Mad Hatter on Oct. 10, 2012

Ordinarily, I do not read romance labelled as 'fantasy', but Mad Hatter got my attention right from the synopsis. Reading this book was a wise decision and an unexpected delight. Deserving of 5 stars for the vivid story telling that twists Alice in Wonderland without distorting it. All the while I was thinking, 'This would make a ginormous Box Office hit if somebody turned it into a movie.' Are you listening Ms. Hall? Thank you for the beautiful story.
  • Mr. Satisfaction Guaranteed on Oct. 20, 2012

Wow. And again wow. Short but extremely hot erotic romance. It will leave your juices flowing.
  • Sara's Child - Book One of The Sara Colson Trilogy on Oct. 21, 2012

A good read. I like the feisty fighter in the heroine, and the tender unwavering gentleness of the hero. I am glad I came across this read and eagerly await the sequels in the trilogy.
  • The Importance of Being Denny on Oct. 22, 2012

Tender and sizzling hot at the same time. Can we get more of this? Like a full novel or something...pleaase Kari :-)
  • Cornered on Oct. 22, 2012

A hot hot read. A store room has never looked sexier than this.
  • The Witch's Birthday Brew on Oct. 22, 2012

Nice. Now if I could only conjure up my own perfect man :-)
  • The Compromise on Oct. 29, 2012

Very nice book. A short but sweet romance story.
  • The Best of Friends on Oct. 29, 2012

Definitely 5.5 stars. Michelle Grotewohl never ever disappoints.
  • The Vampire Viscount on Nov. 01, 2012

Wow! This book thoroughly deserves six or more stars. A story about how love does truly triumphant over all, and how two people unexpectedly come to find love. If this book is on your reading list, bump it to the top; drop everything you are doing right now and lose yourself in this wonderful tale in which the greatest magic of all is not magic, but the power of love.
  • Arousing Amelia on Nov. 04, 2012

I disagree with Ernest, I love the twist; totally breaks all cliches. 5 stars for that little twist that makes the story :).
  • Arousing Bethany on Nov. 04, 2012

Wow! The imagery left very little to the imagination. I loved this sizzling read.
  • Hope on a Paige (Tales from the Dead Letter Office) on Nov. 10, 2012

Beautiful story of hope and dreams coming true.
  • Semper Fi (An Erotic Romance) on Nov. 12, 2012

Five stars for a story well told. How can a marine be so hard and yet so gentle?
  • Second Time Around on Nov. 12, 2012

Short but awesome read. I love the twist at the end.
  • The Officer's Wife on Nov. 13, 2012

I am really glad I took the time to read this book. Not only was it enjoyable, but it was very realistic in terms of addressing the issues the main characters face all the while not underplaying the power and redeeming quality of love. Kudos to the author.
  • Cutters Vs. Jocks on Nov. 13, 2012

Wow and again wow! When I saw 'jocks' in the title, I was expecting a lot of dumb-assery and actually hesitated a moment before downloading the book. However, all the positive reviews made me think twice and I am glad I cast aside the stereotype and took the time to read this little treasure. It would have been totally my loss if I had not. One of the best reads I have come across on Smashwords so far.
  • Shades of Honor (Grayson Brothers) on Nov. 15, 2012

I have passed this book over a number of times and it has been my loss every single time. The depth, the candor, the rawness of the emotions in this book makes it a gripping read that is worth every star plus one. The conflict the main characters face, having to decide whether love and passion trump honor and family...let's just say it put me at the edge of my seat, and I barely remembered to breath until the very last page.
  • Discovering You on Nov. 15, 2012

This is a book about how love can transform and redeem; how love can bring a person from the darkness into the light; and how love is selfless in that we do not just love perfect people, but we love people as they are. Yes, I give this book 5.5 stars.
  • Leave It In The Tea Tin on March 02, 2013

This is a very honest plea from an enthusiastic fan (yes, 5000 words and I am a die-hard fan): please write another story. Why are all the good writers the worst procrastinators?
  • Jilted in January on March 23, 2013

    Good read.
  • The Job Offer on April 01, 2013

This book had romance just the way I like it. I find it very hard to keep with a book once I come across grammatical errors, but this read was so gripping I overlooked those. Being her first digital book, I cannot wait to see what Eleanor Webb has in store for us. The intro to "Going for Gold" looks intriguing and I can't wait to get my hands on it! Five star recommendation for "The Job Offer"
  • Barely There on April 02, 2013

I really enjoyed this short read; just enough of spice to keep you het up, and enough tenderness to make it a truly touching romance.
  • The Happiness Pact on April 05, 2013

It takes courage and some gumption to tackle the things we are most afraid of. Sweet, short young adult romance.
  • Puzzle of the Heart on April 06, 2013

A sweet story about correcting misunderstandings and getting back to love. A short and quick read that packs a punch.
  • Try Me (One Night with Sole Regret #1) on June 25, 2013

Hot! Hot! Hot! Take the time to read this book because it will grip you by the b***s and not let go until you turn the very last page. 10.5 stars.
  • Mixed Signals on June 26, 2013

I love strong, silently sexy Ryan and explosive Rachel, and the way these two just push each others' buttons in the wrongest right way possible. Read this book and fall in love with two memorable protagonists, and of course a best friend side kick who also gets her own happy ending. Love It!
  • Gift of Desire (Hot Christmas Love Stories from Samantha Kane and Kate Pearce) on Dec. 17, 2013
    (no rating)
would like to get an accessible version of this book, even if it is just online, please
  • Hadaen [The Marujan Brothers Series] Book One on Jan. 29, 2014

It's a good read. A searing hot page turner that meshes fantasy with fact so believably and the romance with the practicalities of war. I am happy this is just the beginning....
  • Trace (Bad Boys Of River City 1) on May 23, 2014

Elle Wood does it again! I loved this romance. The hero wants his revenge --or thinks he does. What he needs is to quench the thirst of a ten year love drought. In this case love outwits him in a really really good way.
  • Living with Spies on May 23, 2014

Samantha David is an outstanding author. She somehow manages to infuse the ordinary with just a touch of whimsy that makes you wonder, 'could this really happen?' Of course it can. I wasn't even sure msyelf who was playing spy and who wasn't, until the very end. An awesome read that will make you hold your breath until the very last page --unless you are laughing or tittering along with her lovable characters.
  • Mr. Jaguar on June 10, 2014

Oh yes! m/m romance with the perfect smoldering recipe. Mike --impulsive, daredevilish, in-your-face and just a wee bit crazy; James --straighlaced, stuffy, by-the-book and as staid as they come. But both have a lot of angst to work out and unresolved issues to overcome before they can look forward to a future together. Well developed characters with a plausible, engaging storyline and searing hot hot HOT sex.
  • Throwing Away the Good on June 13, 2014

This is a wondrful read, immersing you into the world of fae and the hero, Karl, as he fights to gain his freedom. What I love about this book is the depth of character development even for the players who only make a one-scene appearance. A delightful short read.
  • Electric Blue & Catnip on June 20, 2014

Wonderful book. Alexia and Josh are two souls each lost in their own way, and when they find each other, one redeems the other as they come to taste and understand what true love means. The love in this book is palpable --not just the love Alexia has for Josh and vice versa, but also the love of a parent for his child, a brother for his sister, family for each other... All round fantastic read. Moving on to Miss Lee's other titles.
  • You Make Me ...Crazy on June 20, 2014

I have been reading Suilan Lee's book for the past 48 hours straight and I just can't stop. The experience only gets better. I think Dan is one of the sexiest, strongest, most lovable protagonists I have ever come across. He is everything you would ever want in a man --gentle, selfless, driven, trustworthy, passionate, patient, honest..etc etc. It almost sounds like an impossible paragon but Lee infuses him with such 'normalness' that you see he is just a man willing to sacrifice everything and go to the ends of the universe for the man he loves. Outstanding book.
  • Blu Dream on June 21, 2014

A short and sweet read about love at first sight, taking risks and how it can actually be real and lasting
  • His Window on June 21, 2014

Sweet and tender romance coming from an unusual place but that makes it more special. Loved it.
