  • Night Watchman on Jan. 27, 2014

I really enjoyed this short story; the ending was completely unexpected. Thanks!
  • The Night Bus on Jan. 27, 2014

A great little story, I had a feeling it was just my thing and it didnt disappoint me. I too, wanted more!
  • The Man Who Unzipped His Face on Jan. 27, 2014

A quirky short story with a strong fantasy element that I enjoyed very much. Even if it did make me want to have a large breakfast at 10pm :) Read it and find out why..
  • Adverse Camber on Jan. 27, 2014

A well-written enjoyable short story; although I could guess how it would end (having read far too many (true) ghost stories) it was still very enjoyable to read it to the end. Am hoping for more from this author!
  • The Boutique on Jan. 27, 2014

A wonderful ghost story with a happy ending. I enjoyed it very much!
  • The Uninvited on Jan. 27, 2014

A reasonably good story, well-written and with good characterization. Unlike other reviewers, I didnt know what was going to happen and therefore enjoyed it all the more.
  • Framed by a Phantom on Jan. 27, 2014

I liked this story and found it did enough telling and showing. The length for me was just right; if only the title didnt give away the ending!
  • The Witch of Cromer on Jan. 27, 2014

A very good story; good writing, unforgettable characters and very enjoyable local colour.
  • A Ghost Story of the Norfolk Broads on Jan. 27, 2014

I wont attempt to equal the well-written reviews of my predecessors; merely add that I also enjoyed this story and found it atmospheric and enjoyable.
  • The Dread Dimensions on Jan. 27, 2014

I've never read Lovecraft, but find myself enjoying modern (?) interpretations of his work. A wonderfully written, almost Jamesian story of two academics and the "diabolical book" they dare to open.
  • The Curse of Ann Lanar on Jan. 27, 2014

Short, fun and to the point. Revenge from beyond the grave!
  • The Room Behind the Wall on Jan. 27, 2014

A good short story that I enjoyed more than I expected to.
  • Soul Stealers on Jan. 27, 2014

A wonderfully-written story about a Halloween party that got a whole lot more terrifying than the main characters ever expected. Nail-bitingly suspenceful!
  • Strawberries on Jan. 28, 2014

A delicious story, sweet from start to finish! I've already dowloaded several other works by this author, and hope to enjoy them just as much! Whimsical or not, I'll give it 5 stars...
  • Graves on Jan. 28, 2014

I loved this book with it's unusual story line.
  • Colder Still on Jan. 28, 2014

A fantastic short story, with an element of Stephen King's "Thinner". Very enjoyable!
  • Flowers End on Jan. 28, 2014

A wonderful little story loosely based on an excerpt from an ancient Welsh book called the Mabinogion. I loved it; thank you!
  • Stop, Revive, Survive? on Jan. 28, 2014

An enjoyable thriller that left me wanting more; luckily I had downloaded all 3 parts of the story.
  • Stop, Revive, Survive: The Pursuance on Jan. 28, 2014

I liked part 2 of this story; not as much as the first but still good. A few typos but not enough to really bother the reader.
  • Stop, Revive, Survive: Terminus on Jan. 28, 2014

I didnt enjoy part 3 of this story as much as the first two, for several reasons. The first was that I didnt get the ending at all, the second was that even I couldnt suspend my logic long enough to believe SPOILER ALERT that a psychologist would allow two patients at a mental health facility to go out overnight with him in hopes of finding a serial killer nobody else believes in. Well, if he was on the side of the killer, maybe, but that aspect wasnt fully explained. I also never got why the survivors were locked up in a mental health facility at all. Just because nobody found evidence of their parents/family's murder doesnt mean they should be locked up. But that would be typical officialdom doing things arse-backwards, lock up the sane and let the crazies run loose :)
  • Doll Baby on Jan. 29, 2014

A very enjoyable story that I almost stopped reading after the first 20%, mainly because I have alot of stories and books to read at the moment. But the story gradually got better and better until I ended up liking it alot.
  • The Safety Dance on Jan. 29, 2014

An excellent little story about an unassuming man who becomes obsessed with the 80's hit (which I admit right now that I love!) The Safety Dance. Bitingly funny; you cant help but like Crispin despite his oddball goofiness...
  • The Yellow Scarf on Jan. 30, 2014

An entertaining story with a wonderful sense of atmosphere, both of the 60s and of Hampton Close, a house to beware of. The author does a good job of enticing you into the story and gradually increasing the suspense.
  • The 89TH Temple on Feb. 03, 2014

I cant express how much I enjoyed this novel. I'm one of those people who're into Japan and exploring Buddhism and it's pilgrimages and reading great writing. This satisfies all of these appetites. It has alot of wisdom that is put across very simply and easily; the author does a great job of making one really feel for the offenders, the bullying they suffered and the tragic reasons that brought them to the reform school. Definitely a book I'll remember for a long time and look forward to rereading regularly.
  • The Commuter - A Short Story on Feb. 27, 2014

Good stuff; I liked the story-within-the-story technique. Even a simple commute to work isnt as simple and innocent as you might think. You should enjoy delving into this dark and twisted story.
  • The Diary on March 13, 2014

I really enjoyed this continuation of Just Visiting, and cant wait for the next part of the story.
  • God May Pity All Weak Hearts on March 16, 2014

An excellent short story based on the Crippen murder case. I loved the idea that something vague yet terrifying somehow caused the murder. I wont spoil it by giving any more detail than that....
  • The Pale, A Short Story on June 23, 2014

A good short story with lots of atmosphere; the main character was quite likable. Personally I just didnt understand how and why the family became the way they were (trying not to spoil anything). It was left unclear to me, although my enjoyment of the story was only slightly lessened. So for that reason I'm only giving it three stars.
  • The Ghost in the Machine on June 26, 2014

This is a superbly-written story that I enjoyed from beginning to end. Great characters, plenty of gore and horror, I loved it!
  • Lakeside Motel on July 01, 2014

An excellent suspenseful short story; it has a refreshingly different theme. I enjoyed every word.....
  • They Came One Day on July 08, 2014

A very enjoyable short book about the authors' experiences as mediums and soul rescuers. Recommended for those who know a little about these topics, alot, and everyone in between.
  • Black Cat Tales: Black Anne and Other Short Stories on Aug. 02, 2014

An excellent collection of creepy stories; I really enjoyed it!
  • Haunted on Aug. 16, 2014

A well-written story that gets increasingly spooky as it progresses. I enjoyed it very much, as I did many of the author's other stories.
  • Pension Day on Sep. 14, 2014

I loved this book too; a fun read!
  • The Formula on Sep. 14, 2014

An enjoyable short story with a very surprising element you (probably) wont see coming. Great stuff!
  • The Skipping Rope on Sep. 14, 2014

I couldnt help liking this author's style, despite the story lacking a basic plot, and it becoming nothing more than a series of vignettes that had no connection to the previous 2/3 of the book. So, good characterization but we never really learn why the murders happen.
  • Pig Farm on Sep. 14, 2014

Thoroughly enjoyable and engrossing. A few nice twists thrown in...
  • The Hanging Table on Sep. 14, 2014

A clever short story, that taught me things I didnt know that I didnt know :)
  • Vengeance on Sep. 16, 2014

An excellent story featuring women during the Nazi era and again during martial law under Solidarity. Very atmospheric; I wont soon forget it.
  • A Living: Three Stories About Killers on Sep. 16, 2014

First story: Ok. Second story: Excellent! Third Story: Amazing! I intend to read more by this author....
  • Urban Exploration & The Curse of Chillingham Castle on Sep. 18, 2014

Two great stories; although I personally preferred the second one. Having said that, the story would have been more effective, in my humble opinion, if the main character had used American terms rather than British (ex. hood instead of bonnet). But that fact in no way spoiled the enjoyment.
  • The Devil's Pretty Daughter on Sep. 18, 2014

An excellent story that makes you feel like you're in the car with them. Very creepy.
  • Bites of Ben Urglar on Sep. 22, 2014

  • Not Enough Hours in the Day on Jan. 23, 2015

A great premise for a story; I loved it! If only we all could find a pendant or locket like Catherine's. I'm sure people under 30 can relate to it as well....

An excellent short story, I really enjoyed it.

A very amusing short story; well-written despite a few typos. I loved it!
  • It's Just a Game on April 25, 2015

A good solid story; I enjoyed the suspense of wondering what exactly the game was....
  • Swatted on April 26, 2015

A very well-written story that I enjoyed alot. The writer does a great job of slowly building up the suspense.
  • Lost Girls on May 13, 2015

Although the first 15% had a different and less talented feel, the rest of this book lived up to the high standard I've come to expect from Mr. Wilson. I was, as always, captivated. Thanks for offering it free on this site!
  • The Quiet House on May 22, 2015

The author does an excellent job of building the suspense. Expect the unexpected, and the horrific!
  • Mold on May 22, 2015

The other reviewers described this story well; I can only agree with them that it's an excellent story. No "undead" in the sense of zombies, though, which I'm just fine with.
  • The Wedding Banquet on May 23, 2015

A story that starts off in an understated way and then surprises the reader with a great big wallop. I highly recommend this one.

I also enjoyed it; it starts off slowly and builds an enjoyably tense and creepy atmosphere.
  • A Pyramid Scheme on May 23, 2015

Although I wished the author had given us more details of exactly what was happening to Gary and why, I still enjoyed this well-written story. I'm looking forward to reading new works by this author.
  • Store Policy on June 03, 2015

A tasty little story, with a premise I wasnt expecting. Worth reading!
  • Toys In The Attic on June 17, 2015

    I second the review below!
  • The Old Maid and Other Stories on July 11, 2015

I read this earlier today and very much enjoyed the beautiful writing style. The first story was very intriguing; the second I liked less and the third I skipped. On the whole, I recommend this author and am about to start reading some of his other stories.
  • The Shorecliff Horror and Other Stories on July 13, 2015

All of these stories are well-written; I enjoyed the first one despite it not being particularly scary. The second story was less to my taste but still good, and the final story I didnt read at all. But that isnt to say that other people wont enjoy them all.
  • A Report on a Haunting and Other Stories on July 13, 2015

This is my favorite collection of stories by this author. I loved the second story, "Missing Pages" and quite enjoyed the first and third ones as well. I can recommend anything written by this author, whatever my personal preferences as to stories may be.
  • The Favour on July 15, 2015

I agree with the previous reviewer; the story is well-written but doesnt go anywhere. A good writer but this story missed the mark for me.
  • The Gift on July 15, 2015

A very enjoyable story; I loved it!
  • A Good Deed on July 15, 2015

Another well-written story; I too assumed the ending would be more sinister than it was, but that's perfectly fine. I'll look out for this author in the future.

Starts off with a punch and just builds up speed; pure excitement!

Although it seemed to start out rather slowly, for me, I was happily surprised by the twists and turns of this short story. Great stuff!
  • The Watchers on Oct. 08, 2015

I enjoyed this story even more than "The Victim"; highly recommended!
  • In the Looking Glass on Nov. 24, 2015

A well-written story that certainly met my expectations of a "creepy mirror" story. It's far from a new theme but the author does it justice.
  • The Worst Thing on Nov. 25, 2015

I agree; entertaining and with an ending I didnt expect. Some found it flat, but I found it refreshing, so to speak.
  • Kitty on Nov. 25, 2015

A great creepy short story set in the early part of the last century. Very entertaining, thanks!
  • End of the line on May 15, 2017

I enjoyed the story very much until the end. Maybe it's me but I wasn't quite clear about Franklin's decision.
  • Final Resting Place on Aug. 03, 2017

I enjoyed this short story, mostly because I could relate to the setting, having taught English in S. Korea myself. It's well written with only a normal amount of grammar/ spelling mistakes for a self-published story. More explanations of Korean food and a few more of the words used would be nice but not essential as readers can google them. Once you start you'll want to know what happens to Joe and his colleague.
