Great book! Seemed daunting at first, but it was very do-able and I re-formatted my manuscript in less than a day. The conversion went without a hitch. Thanks.

I downloaded the Style Guide in December 2013 and published my 75,000 word ebook in March 2014 without any major hitch.
It is an absolutely fabulous guide that, if followed diligently, will guarantee a successful conclusion to your efforts.
My only constructive suggestion would be to break it up into 6 parts which would be more easily digestible:i.e. - Introduction & Do's & Don't's, Steps 1-8, Steps 9-19, Navigation, Steps 21-24, and Uploading/checking/marketing.
A really formidable bit of work by Mark Coker. Well done.

This book was incredibly helpful in teaching us how to format our books!

I read the manual and then followed it step by step. I will admit I closed my eyes and crossed my fingers when I submitted the book, but following directions often works. It did in this case. I gained premium listing after one change - my name. I had used my real name in the book and my nickname in the metadata. Simple change and Premium listing. Thanks for an easy-to-follow manual.

I was intimidated at first by the length and what, from a glance, looked like complicated stuff but when I eventually sat down to tackle it, I found it wasn't so bad. I gained Premium Status only on my second try! & it's all thanks to this book. one love mark...

Fantastic! I've been using MS Word for years, but I learned more about it from this guide than I ever did from Word's own Help. This book is easy to follow. I followed the instructions exactly, and my book was accepted into the Premium catalog on the first try. Thanks, Mark!!

The instructions were beautifully clear, and my books uploaded flawlessly, and accepted without fuss to the Premium Catalog. Moreover, the formatting allowed me to upload to Amazon with equal ease, whereas in the past [before this Guide], there were many issues, especially with the embedded cover. Thank you, so, so much!

Thank you so much for your time & effort in publishing this! I studied it, set up my latest Microsoft Word to it, although I had to then save my work to the older Microsoft Word format at the point of uploading it, which Microsoft made that easy for me. And now I have successfully published in the premium catalog all of my 7 books so far! Again, thank you so much for even having this available to us! :o)

Very useful book, I learnt a huge amount about Microsoft Word formatting. Also, it made the process of formatting a book for Smashwords so easy I was astonished. Highly recommend!

Smashwords Style Guide is great: straightforward and clear. My only request is that some of the white space be eliminated to make printing sections use less paper. (Small annoyance for a one-time task of a valuable resource.)
