Reviews of Pebbleton-On-Edge

by
In a quiet English seaside village Sue and her colleagues at the Parish Council think life is fun but boring, until they are shocked out of complacency when murder is discovered literally under their noses. The arrival of police and reporters alarms the unlikely new Parish Clerk, who has good reason to seek obscurity. Worse is to come, as a 200-year-old crime produces modern consequences.

A bit beyond a cozy but not quite a thriller. A slow start but very well done overall and deserves full marks. My only real complaint is the villain's confession at the climax, all complete and tied up with ribbons in an unrealistic manner.

Further advice to potential readers: ignore the video.

Pebbleton-on-Edge is a well-written, cozy mystery involving an ensemble cast of likeable and believable characters. D.A. Gregory has done a great job of bringing the setting to life. I'll be reading the sequel.

A thoroughly delightful mystery in that unique British tradition. A great cast of characters. I hope D.A. Gregory has another in the works soon.

Enjoyable visit to English village with fun and funny people - I think I know some of them! Having dealt many years with the public myself, Ms. Gregory perfectly portrayed how it is often challenging and hysterical to decipher what they mean from what they say! Well-crafted story! Wonderful characters, sweetly pictured places and scenery. Looking forward to Pebbleton At Sea!! MUST we wait SO long?!!
